Exactly a year ago, the music world lost a great talent.

Linkin Park’s frontman, Chester Charles Bennington, died at the age of 42, due to suicide. According to his wife Talinda, Bennington suffered from depression years before he took his life away. She also said that he made a suicide threat back in 2006. Soon after, Talinda has become an advocate for speaking out for mental health and the battle against depression.

The remaining Linkin Park band members, Mike Shinoda, John Hahn, Dave Farrell, Rob Bourdon, and Brad Delson created a suicide prevention website, where people can leave their messages to Chester, and even seek advice when they need it. They also held a tribute concert at Hollywood Bowl in Califronia.

The band also posted an emotional message on their official Instagram for Bennington’s first death anniversary.

Dave Farrell, one of Bennington’s  closest friends, also give left his own message on Instagram.

The world may have lost a great man with such great talent, but we will surely continue to support his legacy.
