There’s something about duets that I just can’t get enough of. I love how the back-and-forth melodic sweet nothings and the contrasting vocals make my arm hair stand. Just as I was about to run out of musical pairs to get me in the zone, the wondrous duo of Josephine Vander Gucht and Anthony West caught me off guard with a mind-blowing 12-track album ‘Ultralife‘ which hints at a euphoric, positive and emotive feel.
OW fans have been drip-fed one track a month since September 2014 until the official release of their first self-titled album on September 2015. However, this year, the band took a leap forward and unveiled a bold, eclectic track ‘Lifetimes‘ that differs from their usual genre (fun fact: Anthony can rap!) along with the title track of their self-produced sophomore album, ‘Ultralife’.
It’s pretty much evident that this duo deserves all the love and attention they have been receiving from their fans from all over the world. Songwriting was their original plan until their music had gone beyond the surface and instantly owned the spotlight.
The tuneful twosome is known for their amazing ear for chiming keys, upbeat percussions, youthful synths and energetic keys!
