And by dark side, we mean the fashion industry. The rock band drew mixed reactions from fans as they recently posted a twitpic of a campaign for an Italian menswear brand.

All the members were pictured in a white suit with James Hatfield sporting his signature evil grin. The caption read, “We have been invited to be the face of Italian luxury menswear powerhouse Brioni!” Aside from posting the news on Twitter, the band also took to their official website to announce the news.

“We are beyond thrilled to have been invited to be the face of Italian luxury menswear powerhouse Brioni as they kick off their first creative campaign under the direction of newly appointed creative director, über cool style star Justin O’Shea,” the band wrote.
